Online Subtitle Converter is a free web-based platform that provides comprehensive subtitle management tools including:

  • Subtitle format conversion (SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, SBV, SUB, LRC, JSON)
  • Subtitle editing and modification tools
  • Subtitle synchronization and timing adjustment
  • Multi-language encoding support

The service is provided "as is" without any warranties.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Ensuring they have the right to convert, edit, or modify the subtitle files they upload
  • Not uploading malicious, illegal, or copyrighted content without permission
  • Using the service in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Not attempting to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Not using the service for commercial purposes without permission
  • Verifying the accuracy of edited or synchronized subtitle content

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
  • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
  • To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
  • To submit false or misleading information
  • To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code
  • To spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
  • For any obscene or immoral purpose

5. Subtitle Editor and Sync Tools

Subtitle Editor: Our subtitle editor allows you to modify subtitle content, timing, and formatting. All editing operations are performed locally in your browser. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of your edits.

Synchronization Tool: Our sync tool enables timing adjustments for subtitle files. You are responsible for ensuring that synchronized subtitles accurately match your video content.

Client-Side Processing: All editing and synchronization operations are performed locally in your browser. We do not store your edited content or modifications on our servers.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Service Content: The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Online Subtitle Converter and its licensors.

User Content: You retain ownership of any subtitle files you upload, edit, or modify. By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the conversion, editing, and synchronization services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The information on this service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company:

  • Excludes all representations and warranties relating to this service and its contents
  • Does not warrant that the service will be constantly available, or available at all
  • Does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of converted files
  • Is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the use of this service

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Online Subtitle Converter, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

10. File Size and Usage Limits

We reserve the right to impose limits on file sizes and usage frequency to ensure fair access for all users. Current limits are 50MB per file. We may change these limits at any time.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Online Subtitle Converter operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
